The Menu - We do a number of innovative salads and antipasti that are delicious and beautifully presented. Resident Italians and aficionados of Italian food love the Carpaccio (wafer thin slices of raw fillet steak topped with arugula and parmesan shavings). Regalo di Mare (prawns and squid in a tomato vinaigrette dressing served with crostini al pesto) and the Warm Pasta Salad (flat pasta squares in an unusual sour cream dressing sprinkled with grated parmesan) are both delicious. But best of all are the large green salads made with organically grown lettuce in interesting combinations with other choice ingredients and a range of dressings.



We at J & A's are justifiably proud of our steaks, a generous 300 gram portion served with rosemary potatoes. Our specialty thin-crust pizzas with gourmet toppings are renowned. The Rough Guide especially recommend our Smoked Beef Pizza -- thin slivers of smoked beef drizzled with a special mixture of olive oil and herbs. The Pizza dello Chef with goat cheese and oven roasted tomatoes is another hot favourite.
Some innovative pasta combinations include Tagliatelle with Bacon and Prawns tossed in extra virgin olive oil with paprika and fresh basil and Fusilli with Mushrooms in a cream sauce garnished with fried basil leaves. Our kitchen would be happy to comply with any special pasta combinations and traditional favourites are available on request. Main Course dishes include our delectable Crespelle coi Gamberi (stuffed seafood crepes) and Melanzane al Forno (sliced aubergines layered with goat cheese, mozzarella and tomato salsa, slow baked in a parsley cream sauce). Topping the dessert list is our famous Baked Lemon Cheesecake. The Crepes with Stewed Apricots and Vanilla Custard comes a close second.
